REVERSED DISTINY is a short film by a Japanese filmmaker Hideki Kiyota, produced in the United States in 2016. The short film depicts the reincarnation of black and white people across racial boundaries and aims to provide a spiritual and shocking "another perspective" to overcome racial issues.

The film was highly acclaimed at many film festivals around the world.
Winner of 7 awards (4 countries) including Best Short Film, nominated in 3 categories, and 14 official entries (7 countries), the film was screened at the film festivals including the 70th Cannes International Film Festival 2017 Short Film Corner.

STORY

Steve, a wealthy white man, is visited by his lovely granddaughter, Irene.In the middle of the night, Irene is awakened by a strange noise. Steve rushes to the prowler with his gun ready, only to find a young African-American boy named Edward in front of him. This seemingly chance encounter reveals the "cause and effect" relationship from their previous lives that transcends time and space.

    "Reversed Destiny" marks Gregory Cole's return to acting after a ten-year break, during which time he achieved his Master's Degree in Theatre Arts. Born and raised in New York, Gregory Cole is also a model and a playwright, best known for writing the campy musical-comedy titled "Yiassou Meryl!" Besides "Reversed Destiny," Gregory Cole wrapped up work on "Roxana" by Sundance finalist Maryam Ataei in 2016.
